Here's an interesting thread from an owner of a 2.0T who gets better than EPA ratings: Click here. When he can't, tell him that you like the sound he makes when he shuts his mouth and stops lying.Ĭan you tell I'm hot under the collar, and this isn't even my car? Please keep us posted! If that person believes that 19 MPG is acceptable, maybe he can also explain in clear language that is not condescending how 4 or more MPG less than that EPA rating is acceptable. On paper, the 2.0T is faster than the 3.6L, but that's another discussion. Your 1.5T is roughly equivalent to the 2.4L I4, and the 2.0T is roughly equivalent to the 3.6L V6. The 2.4L I4 was rated 23/32 (or close to that). ![]() I routinely get 19 to 23 in town and 26 to 30 on the freeway. The EPA rating for my V6 (not the more efficient 2.4L I4) is 17/26. As a matter of fact, this is my third! All three have had the 3.6L VVT with dual overhead cams (that's 4 cams, 3 chains, and 7 tensioners). Maybe that dealer service person needs a remedial lesson in reading! The EPA ratings are quite a bit higher than 19 and they're trying to get you to swallow a story that can't be defended.Īs for the "heavy 7th Gen. So glad this nightmare may be over, fingers crossed As I went and bought it from a competitor of theirs less than 15 miles away but still closer to my house. I do get the joy of calling and letting them know I am no longer interested in the new 19 Silverado crew cab I was looking at. But as for that dealer I will never be back. I haven't got to fill it and do some real driving but I plan on it. Upon driving the car for a day it does seem to perform better. Nope you owe us 10 plus tax on the gas for your Malibu. The dealer charged us 10.60 for gas in the Malibu!! We said what about the fill up on the loaner can we call it good. and FILL the loaner on the way, even though it had a half tank when we got it. They say the car is getting 19mpg and I have him on recording saying this is a highway vehicle and not a city vehicle LOL so don't expect good gas mileage in city driving, once again LOL. They drive the car next day and call back all excited. Obviously being very concerned about the safety. We are currently on spring break, approx 1500 miles away from home and the transmission has started to noticeably stutter/hesitate while shifting between 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 while under what I would call normal acceleration. I then tell the dealer to please put gas in the car and drive it, try to watch the fuel mileage and report back to me. Our 2019 Traverse Redline has approximately 7500 miles on it. So we made it there with minutes to spare. Well they called us at 545 and said be here by 6:30 and we can get you into a loaner, this was on Feb 8, 2019. He says car is good to go! I ask "did you drive it" ? He says nope we didn't because there is no gas in it. ![]() They say they did the calibration TSB and changed the charge air cooler with a redesigned cooler. So the dealer calls me Friday night before closing. ![]() We got our car back on Saturday, finally.
